Description

Day 8

Slept in and had to rush breakfast. It was Sunday so all the shops were closed, so our food had better last.

Briefly visited Bologna. We didn't even get out of the car, just drove around. The only interesting thing to see was the two leaning towers in the middle of the town.

Next we went to Ravenna, which seemed to be pretty big on churches again. They didn't look very special from the outside, but they were nicely decorated with mosaics and whatnot on the inside. Visited some sort of Pope museum, which had a lot of fancy RPG-style staffs and clothes, and random old church stuff. Sadly you weren't allowed to take photos there. Also saw another leaning tower, similar to the ones in Bologna, but a bit shorter.

Otherwise we spent most of the day driving. Got a nice hotel near Ankona, and watched some David Attenborough in Italian.

Ah! Italia Mia!!!!

eheheh I can confirm!
in Italy most of the touristic attractions are churches or art galleries,
artistically speaking, we got a very rich past thanks to Renassaince
but since the Church and the Popes were the clients paying for it
art in Italy is almost all about religious themes.

fortunately we also have very good food and nice girls,
PASTAAAAAAA!!!!

the city you mentioned is written "Ancona" even if the "c" is really marked
you slept really near the place where I live ( I live in a small town near Ancona )

may I ask you a question?
how did you feel driving in Italy?
our cars have the steering wheel in the right and we drive in the right side of the road
also one Australian friend of mine said that he found our roads very narrow and full of curves
did you had any problems with it?
