Phones Suck

A lot of people ask me if I'm porting any of my games to phones. I never will, and here's why.
Let's put aside the considerable effort it would take to translate the code and assets from Flash format, and look at some of the design problems.

The main games in the Epic Battle Fantasy series have too much information on screen to fit onto a tiny phone screen with touch controls. There's menus with 20+ icons, info bubbles for status effects, foe info bubbles, HP/MP bars etc... It would be very difficult to make all of these buttons and information large enough for use with your fat fingers.  The interface would have to be simplified to the point where there's no more than maybe 10 buttons on screen at any time, which would mean throwing out like three quarters of the game mechanics and content.

Bullet Heaven would never work without either physical buttons, a mouse, or stylus controls. Most phones don't have any of those, and even if they did, the small screen wouldn't allow very much stuff on screen.
Adventure Story would also need physical buttons, unless you're a masochist and enjoy using on-screen buttons. If I used those then I'd have to make the game extremely easy to compensate for the frustration.
Bullet Heaven and Adventure Story might be possible on the 3DS, but developing for that would bring up other issues.

Anyway, phones are shit for any game which requires controls more complicated than that of Angry Birds.

So... leave me alone.

I played EBF 3 on my old HTC Evo 3g using a Flash game player, so if they were that desperate to play it, they could download the game and use it on one of those
